What We Do

We have served Uganda for the last four years.
John served at the church's operations director and then re-opened Calvary Chapel Bible College Uganda in 2014.

Over the Hump

In the previously blog, I referred to "Crunch Time." It was definitely a difficult and busy time for us. We are grateful for several friends who helped us paint some of our bedrooms. Mark Waldorf installed new carpeting. Packing our things took at lot of time. Lily and I got four hours of sleep two nights in a row. After that we drove in Sacramento and arrived just before midnight.

I did my second sermon at Chinese Immanuel Church in Sacramento. This is a wonderful Bible-teaching Chinese church. Their congregation exemplifies servanthood more than any other I've seen. They're incredible.

Chinese Immanuel Church also gave us about 30 minutes with the congregation to explain what we've been doing to prepare. Now that we are out of our house and the sermon is done, I feel a great sense of relief.

This is now the time for us to spend with relatives and supporters. More about that in the next blog.
